Those unfortunate enough to have been sprayed by a skunk have been “skunked”. It is a defensive mechanism of the creature. Skunk spray is a foul smelling liquid emitted from the skunk's glands.

While there are no known toxic or life-threatening side effects, the victim may:

• Experience eye or skin irritation
• Have difficulty breathing

In all cases, others will find the victim to be unpleasant to be around due to the lingering foul stench.

While exploring the ice caverns in the Frozen Expanse, you will find a burlap sack. Apparently it had some food in it at one time. An Artic skunk is still inside and not any too pleased to be disturb. The skunk will immediately spray you before wandering off further into the caverns.

Fortunately, an ice bath and fresh set of clothing will remove the skunk's scent.
