Grik is a formidable leader who is not afraid to speak his mind. He values honesty and can be overly blunt when expressing an opinion. Though feared by his opponents, he is also fiercely loyal to his friends. He often expresses himself physically, and he has been known to punch those he approves of or trusts;

But General Grik gives you a hard punch to the chest, the traditional Orc expression of gratitude. - Bogroot Demon (RPA-ADV6)

Grik was a rough personality, and he was stubborn in his ways. But he was loyal to the crown of Nalos and spent his life fighting to improve and defend his country. - Gate of Brizoor Waal (RPA-ADVF)

Introduced at Zalic's tent discussing strategy, you are faced with a choice on how best to proceed against the Dragul:

• Side with Grik, and receive his regards as well as his potion as a gift.
• Side with Zalic, and esteem yourself with him, given his coin.

If you saw things his way, following the events at the outpost Grik will inform you about his advancement on Bogroot Swamp and your new orders.

It is later revealed that Grik and his soldiers have set out toward Bogroot Swamp to eliminate Elsifor, a Demon bound in the giant mangrove, but was frozen in locked combat with an ice wyrm at the King's Guard Camp by the Demon;

“General Grik and your other so-called friends in the King's Guard came here to kill me, but they couldn’t figure out how to get me out of this tree.” - Elsifor, Bogroot Demon (RPA-ADV6)

• Should he live, General Grik thanks you for your help, then moves north into the Abandoned Lands with his soldiers.
• Should he die, General Grik is savagely killed by the ice wyrm.

If you watched Grik die at the King's Guard Camp in Bogroot Swamp, the Demon Elsifor will unleash his ghost as well as those of Commander Zalic and Warden Mercy upon you if you had a hand in their deaths:

• Fend off the vengeful spirits.
• Fall to your fallen former comrades.

If Grik survived the battle in Bogroot Swamp, he and his soldiers of the King's Guard board the vessel you have taken to the Boiling Mists, believing that you have committed regicide and killed King Taron.

• Should you reveal King Taron, you will be in the good graces with the general.
• Should you resist Grik, you will earn his disfavor.

Grik fights in the name of the King's Guard against a Starlit Door cultist with his Grayfolk and the Dragon Vyrandore inside a temple in Affril, Plane of Knowledge:

• If you side with the King's Guard, you will fight alongside him:
  • If you defeat the opposition and are favored by the Orc, he will greet you emphatically. You claim the site, and find a purple rune.
  • If you defeat the opposition and are disfavored by the Orc, you will receive his approval and claim the site, finding a purple rune.
  • If you fall to the opposition, you stumble through a rift back to Elsifor's Tent at Brizoor Waal in defeat.
