Gimlix is often seen in a cheery mood, regardless of his situation;

“Oh well,” he says, no less cheerful than he was before. “It was good seeing you! If you happen to see a ghost running around here, kindly point him in my direction. I have something important to ask him.” - Tome of Encounters (RPA-ADV5)

Since your first meeting in Jolev, Gimlix has seen something special in you;

…Gimlix was an enthusiastic supporter of yours. He talked up your potential to other members of the Starlit Door at every opportunity. - Gate of Brizoor Waal (RPA-ADVF)

The Demon Elsifor is intrigued at the prospect of internal drama within Gimlix's family;

“The Starlit Door pride themselves on their access to secrets, wouldn’t you say?” he asks. “I wonder what they’ll do when all their own secrets come wandering back over broken glass to say hello again. Gimlix’s sister will have a thing or two to say, of that you can be sure.” - Elsifor, Gate of Brizoor Waal (RPA-ADVF)

First found in the Ancient Chapel of Jolev, he attempts to break open a trapdoor made of durgolium:

• Report him to the authorities and he will go quietly, taken to Kulbak Prison.
• Assist him and you will find a greater prize.

If you did not turn him in in Jolev, you find Gimlix again in Undercity, extracting a strange wand from the ground:

• Join him in touching the gemstone and be brought back to your fight against the Dragon Vyrandore:
  • Show resolve and overcome your fearful memory, walking away with additional strength.
  • Succumb to the painful memory of her Dragon fire.
• Talk him out of endangering himself:
  • Succeed most, and he pays you for the warning.
  • Do not totally convince him, and he thinks a little less of you.

If you turned him in in Jolev, you will encounter Gimlix again in Kulbak Prison. There he will ask you to don a locket:

• If you do, you will behold the spirit of Khathandor, Kobold warrior of old:

• If you decline, he will be on his merry way, his entourage judging you.

When shining the Illuminating Stone on Annabelle Duntum's music box, the visage of one of the figures curiously turns to that of Gimlix;

You open the music box and shine the light of the illuminating stone on the two dancing Gnomish figurines inside. As you do so, their faces take on new details and features. Strangely, the male half of the duo suddenly looks remarkably similar to Gimlix, the member of the Starlit Door that you met on one of your previous adventures. - Ghost-Eaters of the Forgotten Forest (RPA-ADV7)

Another vision reveals Gimlix to be the craftsman of the box itself;

You hold the illuminating stone up to the music box. The stone radiates with light, and for a brief instant, you see a Gnome at a workbench, putting the final touches on the figurines within the music box with the tip of a thin brush. He examines his handiwork through a magnifying glass. You recognize the Gnome as Gimlix, who you first met in the town of Jolev. - Ghost-Eaters of the Forgotten Forest (RPA-ADV7)

One more still shows that somehow Annabelle Duntum would jeopardize the mission of the Starlit Door;

Briefly, you see a vision of Gimlix, the Gnome, handing the music box to Zerith, the witch.

“Is it necessary?” she asks.

Gimlix nods. “The prophecy is clear. The girl is a threat to our plans.” - Ghost-Eaters of the Forgotten Forest (RPA-ADV7)

Gimlix fights Zalic and Yuvan Rokta and the Ghost-Eater at his side in the emptiness of Moti, Plane of Death, at the final battle of Brizoor Waal:

If you side with the Starlit Door, you will fight alongside him:

• If you defeat the opposition and are favored by the Gnome, he will greet you with prophecy in his eyes. You claim the site, and find a black rune.
  • If you defeat the opposition and are disfavored by the Gnome, you will earn his delight and claim the site, finding a black rune.
  • If you fall to the opposition, you stumble through a rift back to Elsifor's Tent at Brizoor Waal in defeat.
