Sam is an agreeable fellow who works under Azariah for reasons of self-preservation;

He wears a stunning ensemble to impress those he conducts business with;

In the end, Sam proves himself a loyal friend;

Sam is first caught inside the Ancient Chapel near Jolev and apologizes profusely to you, mistaking you for his employer:

• Capitalize on the ruse and claim his coin.
• Tell him you are not who he thinks he is, and receive details about your doppelgänger and Sam's relationship to them.

At the Ancient Sepulchre, the entranced Halfling is revealed to be Sam's brother, Tom, carrying a map to the Isle of Winter:

• Attempt to search his pockets, and be met with aggression.
• Attempt to break the trance and fail, but grant him a brief moment of clarity.

When arrived at the Isle of Winter, a curious creature greets you, half-man, half-bird, who turns out to be none other than Sam Potter turned by Azariah;

• Call Sam off when he attacks Azariah and have a conversation with your maker.
