If you select [[giselle|Captain Giselle]] and the [[emerald_dawn|Emerald Dawn]] as your captain and ship, below deck out at sea, you find her performing a ritual incantation; Julius suggests you not to interrupt.

  * Should you intervene, the captain will warn you that the Starlit Door will remember your transgression.
  * Should you allow her to complete her summoning of the [[Kraken|Kraken]]:
      * And slay it, [[giselle|Giselle]] will harvest it for its healing properties and thank you for your contribution to her mission.
      * And fail to kill it, the [[emerald_dawn|Emerald Dawn]] will be destroyed and you will be rescued by [[kaemon|Captain Kaemon]], taken aboard the [[iron tide|Iron Tide]].
