====== Profession: Animal Tamer ====== Animal tamers will often go out of their way to discover new and exotic beasts to study. Some creatures even get added to their collection. Tamers report that they feel they are "born with the gift" and able to tame all sorts of creatures, large or small. It is not unusual to find an animal tamer scouring through the pages of [[larx_pokenpop|Larx Pokenpop's]] [[books|book]], //[[encyclopedia_of_animagical_kinship|Encyclopedia of Animagical Kinship]]//. As you set out on your journey, you have your eyes set one one thing: taming the wildest of all beasts. The [[hellhound|hellhound]]! Taming one would surely guarantee that you are remembered as one of the greatest tamers of all time. Hearing screams from the main boulevard, you race towards what very well could be waiting danger. You witness a beast savagely clawing through the crowd. The [[immortal_knight|Immortal Knight]] is thrown from her horse. It's a [[werewolf|Werewolf]]! The horse races into a nearby alley. Your instincts cause you to follow. You calmly approach the frightened animal. Using a soothing voice, you are able to get closer and grab the reigns of the horse. You return him to the [[immortal_knight|Immortal Knight]] as she sends would-be heroes off on their quest to find the [[werewolf|Werewolf]]. ==== Servants of Azema (GS-ADV2) ==== Upon entering the [[undercity|catacombs]] of [[azema|Azema]], you encounter a horde of [[zombie|zombies]]. You discover that with great concentration and the correct spell, you might be able to control the horde. * If your spell is succesful, the horde falls under your control. For how long though? * With one wrong word, the [[zombie|zombies]] attack! You are injured but manage to stave off the effects of any [[zombie_infection|infection]]. Following the encounter, you explore the [[undercity|catacombs]] further and are drawn to remnants of undying flesh hanging from Azema's bones. One of the requirements from [[Larx Pokenpop|Larx Pokenpop's]] summoning spell to tame a [[hellhound|hellhound]]! * Make an offering before taking the flesh. * Take a chunk of flesh and leave quickly. In either case, you find yourself one step closer to taming the famed [[hellhound|hellhound]]. ==== The Hive (GS-ADV3) ==== Innocent blood, the next ingredient needed, is found in [[laz_arax|Laz'arax's]] hive. An unattended hatchling is within your reach. All that is needed is a vile of its blood. * Draw a bit of the hatchling's blood. * Tame the hatchling and bring it on your quest. >//You must travel someplace cold to safely summon your quarry.// - The Hive (GS-ADV3) ==== Ascending Kethra's Steppe (GS-ADV4) ==== You spy a lone, dead dry tree in [[morningside meadow|Morningside Meadow]]. This seems odd as life blooms all around the tree. If your character is equipped with a splitting maul, you decide to chop the tree down. A creature emerges from the tree and escapes into the tall grasses. Left behind, you find several foul-smelling gobs, squirming in the muck and blood. * Set them free by returning them to their mother. Doing so gives you new insights regarding your own [[familiars|familiars]]. * Squash them with a branch. This cruelty has intimidated your [[familiars|familiars]]. You should have no problem with them obeying you now. ==== Saurian Wasteland (GS-ADV5) ==== You meet [[hazan|Hazan]] while visiting [[hornhelm|Hornhelm]]. She has many [[familiars|familiars]] for sale and you gladly purchase a new one. Depending on previous encounters, you may have met her brother, [[bogli|Bogli]]. Sharing his story with her causes her to release the animals on her cart. You manage to capture one and add it to your menagerie of creatures. ==== The Frozen Expanse (GS-ADV6) ==== The Heroes Guild finally makes their way to the [[frozen_expanse|Frozen Expanse]] providing you the perfect setting to summon the [[hellhound|hellhound]]. You throw [[azema|Azema's]] flesh into the fire that you have created. * If you have blood from the hatchling, add it next. * If you have the hatchling, decide wether to sacrifice it or not. Your choices will determine if you truly are a master animal tamer or not.
