====== Kraken ======

Giant, tentacled creature that dwells in the [[eastern_sea|Eastern Sea]] off the coast of the [[Isle of Winter|Isle of Winter]].

Summoned by [[giselle|Captain Giselle]] on orders of the [[starlit_door|Starlit Door]] to harvest its flesh. Alternatively, the Kraken is potentially fought alongside [[kaemon|Captain Kaemon]] at the [[colosseum_of_ashes|Colosseum of Ashes]].

The flesh of the Kraken has healing properties:

Entering her quarters, you find [[giselle|Captain Giselle]] casting a spell from a scroll. - Tome of Encounters (RPA-Tome-ADV8-39)

  * You interrupt [[giselle|Captain Giselle's]] summoning ritual and keep the Kraken from surfacing.
  * You allow the captain to bring the Kraken to the [[emerald_dawn|Emerald Dawn]]:
      * Slay it, and [[giselle|Giselle]] will harvest it for its healing properties, thanking you for your contribution.
      * Fail to kill it, and the [[emerald_dawn|Emerald Dawn]] will be destroyed and you will be rescued by [[kaemon|Captain Kaemon]], taken aboard the [[iron_tide|Iron Tide]].

==== Deathmatch at the Colosseum of Ashes (RPA-SQ1) ====

If you put down the mutiny on the [[iron_tide|Iron Tide]], [[kaemon|Captain Kaemon]] will be brought to the arena to fight a Kraken with you. - Tome of Encounters (RPA-Tome-SQ1-128)

  * If you slaughter the beast, you feast on its flesh and the captain's debt to you is repaid.
  * If it overpowers you, Captain [[kaemon|Kaemon]] and his crew die at your feet, and the Kraken is killed before it scales the walls.
